The smallest first class hotel in Germany is located directly on the shore of the Scharmützelsee on a generous property. That’s how the Runge family affectionately calls the Villa Contessa. Three generations take care of the guests in the magnificent Art Nouveau villa and make sure that they really don’t miss anything. This service also includes, for example, the hotel’s own bicycles, which can be hired free of charge for a tour around the lake. There are eight guest rooms in the villa, furnished in an elegant, playful neo-baroque style, which is consistently carried through down to the last detail. This may not be everyone’s style, but it is the perfect place for a romantic weekend trip or a weekend with girlfriends. The hotel also has a spa area with a Jacuzzi overlooking the lake, saunas and a Roman steam bath. Dining and breakfast are served with a view of the lake – either on the terrace or in the elegant dining room.
